Ok, my "take home" is to do what you can....we recycle, try to not buy things we don't need or won't use, and we do turn off electronics for a good portion of the day (at least during the school year). My kids read, two of them LOVE to read. They are smart, verbal and think for themselves. I can do better, maybe......
My review is two stars....cute, but could have been better.

We are going to see that this afternoon. Hope it's not too scary for Kate.
Not really scary....what did you think?
Kate was a little scared, but she liked it. It was only her second time to see a movie in the theater.
I thought it was okay. I really enjoyed the robots, but I didn't like the parts with the humans so much. And I agree that it was a little heavy-handed. On the one hand Pixar has all those movie/ merchandise tie-ins, and on the other hand they are saying consumerism is bad? A little hypocritcal.
I say, "What ever happened to the Apple Dumpling Gang!!!!" I've been saying that for years! Good clean fun. Now there is a formula before a movie shows. For the adults... you know what has to be in there no matter what it's rated. A token curse word, gay friend, the Lords name used in vain (several times), and disrespect towards athority.
Children's movies used to reflect good morals... does anyone but me remember that? The old sit coms too. Even the old cartoons. My kids with autism watch Santa Claus is Coming to Town all the time. When did Kris Kringle marry Jessica??? "on the Holiest night of the year... Christmas Eve."
Society used to reflect my values. Now it doesn't and I miss it. I took it for granted in my youth and now my children don't have it. Parents like me have to search for it. And when we find it, we are in the minority.
I'm grateful for my old fashioned values, and though it's less popular and more difficult, I gladly pass it on... as I want my children to have a peace deep within on their most difficult days... (They still eat too much and play tv games too much... but I can honestly say I'm trying!
